 Are you a cat person?  This job is perfect for those experienced in cat behavior and care.

This is the perfect job for cat lovers who are looking to make some extra money on the side! We are looking for friendly, energetic, mature and responsible people who have regularly occuring availability.  Responsibilities include cleaning litter boxes, providing fresh food and water, cleaning up messes, playing or petting cats and administering medication.    

Important To Know About This Position

  • Team members must have consistent availability week to week since we are booking clients continually and in advance so we need to know our team members availability.
  • Most common work shifts available are 7:30am-11am and 4-7:30pm. 
  • There is no guarantee of a minimum number of work hours a week.  Cat sitting is busy during certain times and not as busy at other times so the amount of hours available for team members will vary.
  • This job will require you to drive between client homes located in the Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial and Littleton area.
  • Summer time and Holidays are the busiest times of year so work over holidays is critical. Holiday work hour expectations are only 2-3 hour per day commitment (so all day work is not required!). Holiday pay is given!

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of cat care experience necessary (does not need to be professional experience).
  • Knowledge of cat behavior is important.
  • Highly prefer those with experience administering medications including transdermal ear medication, insulin shots and sub Q fluids.
  • Have team spirit and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills required because team members work independently.
  • Be able to follow directions and complete work with a high level of proficiency.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and advance within the company. Room for advancement available.
  • Be willing to complete a Pet First Aid training and other training.
  • Reliability is critical since pets are relying on us to come care for them.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling and lifting required. Be physically able to bend down, lift heavy items such as litter containers (25+ lb), open and close doors/ baby gates and be able to get down on the floor to sit and play with cats.
  • Be physically fit and able to work and commute in all types of weather.
  • Have a smart phone with a data plan.
  • Own a reliable vehicle, possess a valid driver’s license and have adequate insurance on your vehicle.
  • Team members who are willing to commit to working here for a year – cats are creatures of habit and thrive on consistency.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide loving care to our clients cats and small critters
  • Follow the care instructions laid out by clients. This means being able to read and understand instructions given and execute what was asked.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills required
  • Care for cats includes refreshing water and food dishes, scooping litter boxes, sweeping up around litter boxes, cleaning up messes (ex hairballs), administering medications, playing with cats and/or proving love.  This job requires frequent bending and kneeling.
  • Care for small critters requires cleaning up cages, putting out fresh bedding, providing fresh veggies, pellets, seed, hay, multivitamins etc… to pets.  Must be comfortable handling small critters.
  • Monitor well being of pets and report any behavioral or physical changes.
  • Administer medication if required.
  • Complete visit reports at the end of ever visit which requires good written skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) required.  Frequent communicating with the office and clients is required.
  • Extra tasks at clients homes may be periodically required, including bringing in the mail, taking out the trash, watering plants etc…
  • Treat our client’s home and care for it like it was their own

Compensation

  • $16- $17 an hour to start

THIS IS NOT A SEASONAL JOB!

This is a fun and furry job that keeps you on the move! We are looking for friendly, energetic, mature and responsible people who are available to walk dogs during the weekday. This is a great part time position that is generally 8-15 hr a week. This job will require you to drive between client homes located in the Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial and Littleton area. 

Compensation

  • $16 -$17 an hour to start
  • Staff availability and client needs dictate how much money can be made (average pay is $500-$1200 a month)

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of dog handling experience necessary.
  • Be physically fit and able to work and commute in all types of weather.
  • Own a reliable vehicle with insurance and have a valid drivers license.
  • Be available to complete visits between 10am to 3pm on weekdays (*Weekend walks only on occasion).
  • Be available at least 3 days a week. If you are available 5 days a week that would be very helpful!
  • Have a smart phone with a data plan.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Be willing to complete a Pet First Aid training and other training.
  • Reliable and follows direction.

Responsibilities

  • Complete private walks with clients dog(s) ranging from 30min to 60min in length. We do not do pack walks.
  • Each visit completed may require a variety of tasks done from walking to playing with the dogs in the backyard, providing fresh water, cleaning up messes and returning the dog back to their crate.
  •  Send visit report to clients after each visit.
